Ideas & Tips About Promotional Items
from Enterprise Specialties
Plate and Screen Charges
Don't allow yourself to be charged for screen charges and plate charges both. It
is really either/or. If your project involves more than one color, expect one
screen charge per color.
Supplying Correct Art Formats
To avoid lost time in production, it is important to follow all art formatting
guidelines. When you are in a hurry or up against a tight deadline, it can be
disastrous to find out that your logo has gone to the printer in a bitmapped
format when vector art was required. Suddenly the printer must put your work
aside and move on to another project, all while you scramble to find out
whether the correct format even exists. Delays can compound, causing missed
deadlines and extra charges when your order turns into a high-stress rush job.
Enterprise Specialties, Inc. makes every effort to guide you in supplying
properly formatted art. For a complete listing of the appropriate art
guidelines, visit our Art Specifications page.
Order as Early as Possible
Rush orders not only cost more money, they create more uncertainty and
aggravation for you. When you give little or no lead time, you can find
suppliers in the middle of restocking needed items, or shippers unable to meet
emergency deadlines. Small errors that could otherwise be caught easily and
corrected in proofing escape detection and result in significant wasted effort
and expense.
At Enterprise Specialties, we pride ourselves on a job done right. Please allow
a standard minimum production and delivery time of three weeks. We provide a
quote, tracking numbers, and a courtesy call to let you know when your order
has been shipped.
Order Large Quantities
When ordering promotional items, the cost of each individual item is determined
by the quantity. For example, where an order of 500 Double Wall Acrylic Mugs
might cost you $4.60 a piece, placing an order for only 25 increases the price
to $5.80, a price increase of $1.20 per mug, or over 26%. Clearly, if you know
the items will be in demand over a long period of time, such as a year or more,
it is better to buy in quantity. In this example alone, you would have saved
$600 when comparing a single bulk purchase to a continuing set of reorders.
Think Executive Gifts
Not all promotional giveaways are inexpensive pens and key chains. Durable
polyester Wilson golf bags with graphite protection, 10 pockets, and quick rain
hoods are certain to make a lasting impression on those special clients you
rely on throughout the year. Even Brazos golf clubs, from classic Brass Pros to
smooth Platinum Plus chippers and wedges can be imprinted with your company's
name and logo. While golf is the game of business, your client might prefer an
Executive Portfolio, a stylish Sistine Laser Clock, or a Premier PDA organizer
of stitched Italian Carrera.
Go for the Memorable and Unusual
Ready to imprint your company name and logo on a giveaway item? Then your goal
is to provide a memorable impression. Instead of the traditional imprinted pen,
keychain, or yardstick, go for the unusual. What about a shark shaped dental floss dispenser, a TKO Punching Bag on
a spring mounted base, or a talking mouse clock? A colorful, folding umbrella
might be a good idea. What could be better than having your customers and
clients walking around saying "Hey, look at this!" when your company's name and
logo is right there, front at center?
Consider your Audience
Promotional and specialty items should reflect the nature of your business and the purpose of the giveaway. Car dealerships can effectively use license plate frames, hats, and calendars, but portfolios and imprinted recreational chairs might prove inappropriate. Regardless of whether your company is a bank or banquet facility, if your grand opening or celebration involves an outdoor or picnic environment, then translucent flyers, oasis bottles, or a
noisemaker and bubble wand might add a festive flair to the event.
One of our customers is a hotel which serves many local industries, providing
rooms for out-of town guests. Enterprise Specialties worked with the hotel to
develop an imprinted cooler, inside of which we placed a camera and a roadmap.
All three of the items bore the hotel logo - an unforgettable welcome gift.
For a High School football fund raiser, we found a pin in the shape of a knight,
with a flashing light in the eye of the golden warrior. It was perfect for a
team known as the Norwin Knights, and the kids loved them. Tote bags and
backpacks are great for the summer giveaways. Stadium cups, sports bottles, and
outdoor toys are all available in a variety of colors, sizes, and shapes, all
ready to be imprinted with your logo.
With over 14 years of experience, Enterprise Specialties, Inc. can find the
right promotional item to match the image of your business with the purpose of
your upcoming promotion.
Don't Change Your Logo
Your company's logo is more than a pretty picture. Over time, both your
customers and the world at large come to recognize that single image as the
icon of your business. That makes it important to invest in an appropriate logo
for your company, and once developed, keep that logo inviolate. Every time you
change your logo, you lose awareness. It's like starting all over again. While
Enterprise Specialties, Inc. does not develop logos, we work with the best of
the companies that do, and our experience means we can advise you as to an
appropriate logo for use on promotional items. Some images, however sharp on a
fine piece of letterhead, will simply not reproduce well on an imprinted golf
ball, an executive pen, or a gunmetal mug.
Think "Out-of the-Box."
Promotional items these days have become a part of family life too. Wedding favors,
baby showers, bar mitzvahs, graduations, and anniversaries all present
opportunities to provide guests with memorable tokens of the grand event. Items
tastefully decorated with a brief, appropriate sentiment can make the moment
last for years in the hearts of your guests.
A popular new use of specialty items is for fundraising events. From calendars
and coolers to golf items and T-shirts, students from Grade School to High
School can sell impressive specialty items emblazoned with the school logo,
colors, and/or motto. These items last longer and become distinctive
memorabilia long after chocolate bars have faded from memory.
Conventions, seminars, and company picnics are all great venues to make a
lasting impression using the best in modern promotional and specialty items.
Food items make great giveaways, and we can imprint the bags, wrappers, and
tins in which your favorite munchies are contained. Whatever services your
company provides, from detailing cars to offering the best accommodations in
town, your customers will flip when a chocolate thank you makes their bill a
little bit sweeter. From pretzels and mints to popcorn, it is all available for
imprinting with your company name and logo.
What if I Don't See What I Want on Your Website?
Our website provides a wonderful resource, but in an industry where over 750,000
items are available, even the Internet can hold only so much information! If
you don't see it, give us a call. Enterprise Specialties Inc. is not only good
at providing the best and the latest promotional products, but we can find that
out-of-the-way, unusual, singular item that no one else has even heard of. Who
puts logos on soap, plastic nickels and erasers, trail hitch covers, fly
swatters, piggy banks, and boom boom sticks? If you have an idea, we can find
the application.
