Common Questions About Advertising Specialties
How long will it take to get my ad specialties?
When ordering promotional items of any type, from embroidery to imprinted golf
balls, you should allow at least three weeks. This is the minimum standard
production time in the industry, including shipping. However, at Enterprise
Specialties we recommend you discuss your order with us as soon as possible.
Rush orders risk encountering errors in both manufacture and shipping.
Nevertheless, Enterprise Specialties, Inc. stands ready to process your rush
order when necessary, and our long history, experience, and relationship with
many quality manufacturers means you will encounter less errors here than
anywhere else.
Rush orders, even 24-hour service, is available in an emergency. Premium
services are expensive and sometimes limited (turning around a logo imprint in
24 hours is often not feasible). Please call Enterprise Specialties, Inc. to
discuss any special order or impossible deadline.
How much will it cost?
In the world of promotional items, cost is determined by quantity and quality.
The larger a number of items you purchase, the less the cost for each
individual item. Therefore if you know an imprinted item will have uses for a
significant period of time, a year or more, you are better off to order one
large quantity rather than several reorders throughout the year. Not all
imprinted items are inexpensive giveaways. Golf bags and clubs imprinted with
your logo can make an unforgettable impression on that special client.
Depending on the quality and quantity of the items needed for your promotional
event, each giveaway could range in cost from less than $1.00 to well over
$100.00.
How many promotional items do you have?
As of 2004, Enterprise Specialties, Inc. has access to over 750,000 different
imprintable and specialty items. At Enterprise Specialties, Inc. we not only
have the ability to acquire the right item to meet your needs, but the
experience to get the job done properly and to your satisfaction. Quite
frankly, now that so many specialty items are available in the marketplace,
there is no reason to choose one company over another because one has access to
400,000 items and one has access to 650,000. The list of products is so huge
that the numbers have become meaningless. You need to work with Enterprise
Specialties, Inc., not because of our superlative access to a galaxy of
imprintable items, but because we know the best of the cool gadgets,
merchandise, and accessories, and we meet your needs reliably with creative
ideas, on-budget production, and on-time delivery.
What credit cards do you accept? Do you
accept checks?
Enterprise Specialties accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American
Express. While we do accept checks, your order will not be placed until
after the check has cleared the bank.
Do you charge for overruns by the
manufacturer?
Enterprise Specialties does not charge for overruns caused by an error at the
manufacturer. At Enterprise Specialties, we make every effort to avoid overruns
and other errors in quantity. Having significant experience in the Promotional
Items industry; however, we do know that to receive a correct quantity is to
anticipate errors at the manufacturer, and based on their service history,
sometimes to either over-order or under-order as a means of targeting the
correct quantity for you.
Who uses promotional items?
Everyone! Having your company name and logo, or even a personal sentiment,
imprinted on a specialty item can have a high impact in many ways. Small
companies often use promotional items as part of a grand opening, as giveaways
to new customers, or to promote special sales and events. Larger corporations
invest in promotional items as employee incentives and rewards, executive gifts
for important clients, or as part of mass advertising campaigns intended to
make a lasting impression on a wide audience. But promotional items are a part
of family life too. Weddings, baby showers, bar mitzvahs, graduations, and
anniversaries all present opportunities to provide guests with memorable tokens
of the grand event. Items tastefully decorated with a brief, appropriate
sentiment can make the moment last for years in the hearts of your guests.
Don't forget local sports teams, from softball to soccer, whose team shirts can
be colorfully emblazoned with the logo of a local, supporting business.
A popular new use of specialty items is for fundraising events. From calendars
and coolers to golf items and T-shirts, students from Grade School to High
School can sell impressive specialty items emblazoned with the school logo,
colors, and/or motto. These items last longer and become distinctive
memorabilia long after chocolate bars have faded from memory (only to become a
few extra pounds)!
Conventions, seminars, and company picnics are all great venues to make a
lasting impression using the best in modern promotional and specialty items.
Do you handle golf items?
Golf is the game of business, and golf promotional items are one of our
favorites here at Enterprise Specialties, Inc. From golf pencils to putters,
from golf balls to luxurious golf bags, we handle it all. One of our most
popular promotional arrangements for golf events has proven to be a cooler bag,
inside of which is placed a golf towel, a multi-function golf tool, a package
of three golf balls, a marker, wind breaker, and golf tees. All are imprinted
to provide a stunning presentation that no golfer will soon forget.
Can you imprint my logo on food items?
Well, we can imprint the bags, wrappers, and tins in which your favorite
munchies are contained. Whatever services your company provides, from detailing
cars to offering the best accommodations in town, your customers will flip when
a chocolate thank you makes their bill a little bit sweeter. From pretzels and
mints to popcorn, it is all available for imprinting with your company name and
logo.
How much does it cost to receive a catalog or
a quote?
Enterprise Specialties, Inc. does not charge for quotes or catalogs. Providing
you with useful information is a part of our marketing plan, to help you
achieve your promotional goals. Please call us with any questions, or to
brainstorm some promotional ideas.
Can you work within a budget?
Enterprise Specialties, Inc. is here to help you achieve the greatest impact
with your promotional dollar. We want you to come back again and again, and
therefore we have no interest in breaking your budget on any one project. At
Enterprise Specialties, we take pride in finding the means to come within your
budget and save you money where possible. We understand the hesitation some
companies may feel in revealing their budget for a particular project, but
knowing your limitations does not mean we will take advantage of them. By
understanding the boundaries of the project, Enterprise Specialties is best
equipped to give you the maximum return on your investment, while avoiding
unpleasant surprises.
Do you sell hats and shirts (wearables)?
Enterprise Specialties sells a wide variety of imprinted clothing, including the
use of silk screening and embroidery. We have everything from T-shirts and polo
shirts to windbreakers, jackets, leather coats, denim and dress shirts, and
more. Where silk screening and embroidery are concerned, we have many years of
experience in assuring that your company's name and logo not only appear
correctly, but are enhanced by the choice of clothing styles and colors.
What is Four Color Processing?
Your eyes see red, blue and green as the primary colors of light. This is the
reason these colors are used in televisions and computer monitors. When the
three colors of light are mixed together, they create white, and the absence of
the three colors results in black. Unfortunately, in printing, this color
combination does not work well. The base colors for the printing process are:
cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, also known as CMYK. Black is used as a fourth
color to add sharpness and depth.
In printing, the addition of each color ink adds expense, so that four color
processing tends to be the most expensive. Often, your company name and logo
can achieve high impact with only a two or three color process, and on some
promotional items, a four color process can even be counter-productive,
resulting in a less distinctive presentation. At Enterprise Specialties, we
know the process well and can advise you on when four color is the way to go,
and when a lesser process not only saves you money but provides better results.
What are PMS Colors?
PMS stands for (no, not that)! In our industry, PMS means Pantone Matching
System, and it is a methodology developed for color identification. It's like
having a common language that clients, designers, and printers can use in
talking about color specs on printing orders. Each PMS color has a unique
number, and that number relates to a formula for creating the right mix of
colors. Thanks to the PMS color system, the blue in your company's logo will be "correct"¯ when printed on anything from a promotional flyer to a fun,
chair-shaped cell phone holder. You will often hear PMS colors referred to as spot¯ colors.
What is Vector Art?
Vector art is art calculated and drawn using vectors (a quantity having both
magnitude and direction) and curves instead of dots and pixels. Vector art is
great for text since the lines of the letters stay crisp at any scale. There
are no resolution problems with vector art. When creating specialty items, some
manufacturers will require that any logo or type be provided as vector art.
This is done to ensure the highest quality result (and not, as you might
believe, to make things difficult for you)! If your company has no experience
with vector art, Enterprise Specialties, Inc. can alert you when it is
necessary, and recommend companies able to transform your logo into vector art
when needed.
What is Tight Registration?
Tight registration refers to multiple colors being printed very close to one
another or touching. In any printing process, colors are often applied in
separate passes. If one color bleeds into another or leaves a wide gap between
colors (missing its mark) it results in what is known as an unacceptable
registration. Even to the untrained eye, it simply looks bad. At Enterprise
Specialties, Inc. we have the experience necessary to warn you of bad imprint
choices. You may be very proud of your well-designed, full-color logo, but your
request to imprint it without adjustment on that toy rainbow spring is just a
bad idea.
Do you sell your items without imprinting?
Any item available through Enterprise Specialties, Inc. can be ordered without
imprinting. There are few advantages to this. Un-imprinted items can be
acquired for you more quickly, and at a slightly lower charge. You do save the
screening cost, but since much of the item's price has been calculated
throughout the process to include imprinting, the savings is not as great as
you might think.
